PracticeCash and Coins
When you begin playing, you start with 10,000 dollars worth of PracticeCash as some StockMotion Coins. PracticeCash is used to buy equities while Coins are used to buy items and content that will enhance the game.
As you go through the game you will level up. Among other exciting prizes, you will earn more PracticeCash and StockMotion Coins to aid your investing activities.
If you run out of either, head over to the in-game marketplace to buy more!
Trade, Trade, Trade
Once you've created your account, you are ready to start trading! Tap on stocks from the empty portfolio page to view more information and trade them. If you are looking for something specific, you can go to the search page and find a stock that way.
When you've found a stock you'd like to buy shares in, tap the buy button at the bottom of the overview page, then select the number of shares you want to purchase, then tap "Purchase". It's that easy! Now when you go back to your portfolio page, your portfolio will no longer be empty!
Equipping Items
The inventory page is where you can equip items you unlock or purchase.
The theme slot at the top of the page allows you to customize the appearance of the app. Each theme is comprised of an accent color and light / dark mode.
Badges are permanent powerups that help you to progress quicker in certain areas of the game.
Tokens, like badges, act as powerups, but are non-permanent and will be consumed.
You can also access your unlocked upgrades from the inventory page.
Level Up!
As you play StockMotion, you will earn xp for actions such as trading, holding, and checking into the app daily (among others). Earn enough xp and you will level up. Each new level awards you with unique prizes that help you in your investing journey.
Level up rewards will always include some PracticeCash and coins, and may also contain an assortment of tokens, themes, badges, and upgrades! The game is also constantly growing, so expect to see new items being introduced into the game regularly!
